Confusing lane markings

Reported anonymously at 16:08, Mon 19 April 2021

Approaching the roundabout on the A303 Westbound, signage to continue on the A303 suggests that one should be in the right-hand lane (3rd exit). But the exit quickly narrows, with the right-hand lane quickly merging with what is, in effect, another viable lane on the left. I have had and seen several near missed upon exiting this roundabout, regardless of which lane I select. Could the exit for the 303 not have TWO lanes marked, so that drivers realise that they are meant to merge in turn? Perhaps also worth reviewing the signage for A303 traffic upon approaching this roundabout, to shown that both lanes could be fine for the 3rd exit for the 303?? Thank you.
