Flooding (Road Surface) - A46 Northbound

A46 - Northbound - SURFACE WATER FLOODING Near roadside location marker post: 34. 2 (approx). Just after the start of the 'new' part of the A46 road.

I regularly commute on the above piece of road and have noticed surface water always drains down the road slope and crosses the carriageway at approximately the point highlighted above.

Even during very moderate rain their is always a small stream of water crossing the carriageway.

I am reporting this now, as weather on 12.12.19 was particularly treacherous, with heavy rainfall at night. Rain water was thrown up off the surface by traffic in lane 1 in such large quantities that it momentarily obliterated my windscreen vision in lane 2.

While very hazardous in wet conditions, it will become more dangerous when winter temperatures freeze the collecting water across the carriageway as sheet ice.

Can the surface water drainage please be investigated? The water is clearly not meant to divert across the carriageway.

To someone not expecting the problem, it could easily cause alarm and increases the risk of a crash.
