At the end of the southbound exit, just before the roundabout, there's a sunken manhole cover.

Square manhole cover, sunken, much like a pothole. Causes a bang and the car to move when driving over it. Potential for risk of loss of car control especially hazardous for a m/cycle as on a bend approaching a set of lights.

  • Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report.

    Our inspector agrees that there's a manhole which is beginning to show signs of sinking but at this time it doesn't raise any safety concerns for road users.

    He'll continue to review the location as part of his weekly safety inspections and will arrange any remedial works required if the situation changes.
