Visibility to/from the bridleway crossing
Reported in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) category anonymously at 15:21, Tuesday 26 May 2020
Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
Vegetation in the eastbound verge obscures visibility to and from users of the crossing. Additionally, consideration must be given to removal of the "horse pen" fencing in the central reserve (here and at the bridleway crossing c. 1 km east). No equestrians use these crossings on account of the risks to horses and riders and the fences serve only to obscure visibility to and from others using the crossings.
Thank you for contacting Highways England. We have passed you report regarding vegetation and the equestrian crossing to our local inspector who will review the issue on their next safety check.
We aim to provide a further update no later than 10 June 2020.
