Multiple potholes

Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 10:43, Wednesday 27 May 2020

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

Multiple potholes mainly in middle of coastbound carriageway from Hewitts Roundabout to J4 of M25. Reported multiple times, not just by myself. Are we trying to beat your record of inactivity at 5 months on repairs to the give way line at jct 4? Referred by me to Caroline Pidgeon MP at GLA and Grant Shapps MP, Transport secretary. Time for a bonfire of the quangos, starting with the many overpaid and useless executives at HA. Many paid more than Boris, and with untouchable pensions too! Safety is our main concern says HA website. Time to prove it methinks.

  • Partially fixed, some holes left and then the white lines team PAINTED OVER THE HOLES. You couldn't make it up. According to the HA website, safety is our top priority!. Pull the other one, and of course, nothing is ever urgent.

  • Some of the holes in the center line of the coastbound carriageway still unfilled. But don't worry, they have nice new white stripes through them now! Well done HA, another job half done, after a 4+ month wait!

  • Mostly fixed, took about 4 attempts. I am told Highways Eng inspect their network weekly. Well, that's a joke, unless they ignore what they see! By the way, 1 large hole left in the middle of the carriageway coastbound near the M25 roundabout. You have managed to highlight it nicely by painting a nice new white stripe through the middle of it!.How considerate!
