Confusing road signs and markings at Wall Island when heading towards Lichfield on the A5127

Hello. If travelling to Lichfield from Sutton, I find Wall island very confusing. I can't be the only one. I'm talking about the second of the two almost roundabouts. Approaching, the sign on the left says for A5127 get in the left lane of two lanes. Well that's confusing as there are 3 lanes! The sign on the right says to get in the far right lane. The road markings also show you should be in the far right lane. But then the lanes on the actual island seem to have been changed and indicate it is the middle lane for straight on up the A5127. So having obeyed the right hand sign and the road markings on approach, you are now in the wrong lane! Also another strange thing with the island - the inside lane going round the island has A5148 written on it. Surely this should say A5 (towards Cannock) as well as the other lane. The only way you can need A5148 (heading up to the A38) is if you missed the turn first time and you need to go round the island again.
