Very rough road surface

The road on the Northbound side between the exit and entry slip roads at the A606 junction is not good. Far from smooth. Could do with re surfacing.

Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report. Our inspector visited the location and agrees that remedial work is needed to ensure the safety of road users.
As such, a repair is planned, and we aim to complete this no later than April 2021. Although we will endeavour to complete the repairs as planned the date may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed or, in exceptional circumstances, a revised date.

My point is a general but prompted by a recent pre lockdown 2 trip to Scotland including the A1 round Stamford. Why are some "tarmac" trunk road surfaces smooth and quiet and others very noisy? I don't mean concrete ones which can be horrific. I thought by now you would have achieved the optimum surface for safety and comfort. Cheers edwin smith
