Stairs and handrail down bank leading to A52
Reported in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) category anonymously at 09:29, Wednesday 8 July 2020
Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
There are steps with a handrail that leads directly onto the A52 which are accessed directly from Bird Estate in Bingham. We have been advised by NCC that Highways England maintain these. The handrail and steps are very worn out and need upgrading or maintaining to a safe standard.
Thank you for contacting Highways England. We have passed you report regarding the worn steps and handrail to our local inspector who will review the issue on their next safety check.
We aim to provide a further update no later than 16 July 2020.
