Incorrect roas marking. Left lane only rurns left but is arrowed forward.

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

The road markings on this slip road exiting the coast bound carriageway are incorrect. Both lanes have arrows pointing straight ahead, however, the left hand lane is a slip road directly onto the A249 northbound. This causes great confusion for many drivers who then block the slip road when they want to go straight across or turn right. Therefore, the left hand land should have left turn only arrows. It woild also be beneficial to have signs to show this as well

Updates

  • The left hand lane still has an arrow pointing straight ahead instead of left only. The Hughways agency have deemed this to be correct and have no plans to alter it.
