Misleading road surface indication

Reported in the Road markings category anonymously at 16:59, Sat 25 July 2020

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

Approaching roundabout from the North the right lane has an arrow pointing "straight on" and "A143" which is contradictory to the actual roundabout layout where to continue on the A143 the right lane must be used.

Frequently drivers therfore use use this lane to continue on the A47 southwards but then need to cross 2 conflicting traffic lanes.

  • This is obviously a Highways England problem but a response from either them or local authority would be appreciated
