There is no right turn into or out of Sunninghill Drive, but you don't enforce this. It's dangerous. You need to put up some kind of barrier. Road markings aren't enough
Thank you for contacting Highways England.
We have passed you report regarding your concerns about cars turning into Sunninghill Drive to our local inspector who will review the issue on their next safety check.
We aim to provide a further update no later than 6 August 2020.

Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report.
The A453 in this location did have major upgrades completed in 2015 and during this work we did include a no right turn sign and floor markings stating ahead only.
Unfortunately there will always be a minority of drivers who don't follow these instructions. Enforcement of the no right turn guidance would be a matter for Nottinghamshire Police as Highways England have no enforcement powers.
Nottinghamshire Police can be contacted by calling 101.
We have passed your concerns to our Route Manager for the A453 for consideration in any future schemes which may occur along this stretch of the strategic road network.
We would like to thank you for contacting us about your concerns. If you require any further update on this issue our Customer Contact Centre is available 24 hours a day at:
