Reported in the Litter category anonymously at 16:30, Saturday 5 September 2020

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

Huge amount of litter which has just recently been 'mown' by contractors. Includes what is probably bedding, and filling, which is now shredded by mowing and blows across carriageway. The litter is well beyond a category D and needs immediate attention. Also several large items, also partially mown and shredded. All the way from end of temple sowerby bypass, passed Center Parcs to Brougham. Several shredded and damaged tyres.

Updates

  • Litter and fly tipping on the trunk roads is dealt with by the local authority. As the litter has been made worse by the grass cutting shredding the debris we have passed this report on to our maintenance engineer to make the team aware.
