Another collision

Reported in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) category anonymously at 11:06, Saturday 12 September 2020

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

Visibility is very poor if you are trying to get onto the A5 both north or south. Even worse if you are trying to go straight over. How many more collisions do there need to be before something is done. The air ambulance need a proper landing pad next to the crossroads they are here that often!

Updates

  • Not only is visibility difficult, some people do not realise there could be a queue of people just over the brow of the hill (travelling in the direction from Towcester to Weedon) waiting to turn right. Something needs doing here it's very dangerous.

  • The junction is an accident waiting to happen, I believe there has been numerous incidents over the years. Many of the cars/lorries travel in excess of 50mph, surely the speed limit should be lowered, it is terrifying trying to get out on to the A5, please look at this situation as a matter of urgency! Thank you.

  • What have you fixed ?

Posted anonymously at 22:08, Thursday 1 October 2020

  • The speed limit needs to be dropped to 30mph and a visual sign needs to be installed ASAP. Lorries are destroying everything in their way on 50mph, and most of them are going faster than that. You need to fix it ASAP
