Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
Ever since you opened the upgraded A14 at Bar Hill, overhead signs on the A14 have shown 2 lanes open on the slip road for Bar Hill and the B1050. However, this is not the case. For some reason, the inside lane on the slip road has never been open but traffic travelling at 70 mph do not know this due to poor signage. They wait till the last minute to pull in (as drivers tend to do) only to find a row of traffic cones blocking their exit. I have witnessed an articulated lorry, crashing through the cones, launching a number across the 3 lanes of live traffic and picking up a number only to deposit the bits that are left around the roundabout at the top of the slip. Please change the overhead signs to indicate the closed lane ahead before somebody is seriously hurt, or better still, simply open the inside lane on the slip road. There is absolutely no work being carried out on the road, so what's the delay?????
