Many Street Lights, Sign Lights & Lit Bollards Out

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 09:48, Wed 30 September 2020

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

There are many street lights, sign lights and lit bollards that are out in and around this area on the M23. I would log them all individually but I would be here all day. So apologies for that. There must be some sort of supply fault in this area. Either that, or around 20/30 bulbs need replacing!

  • The section of Highways England maintained A23 between the M23 and roundabout at the Coulsdon Bypass is horrendously maintained. Furthermore, whenever anything is flagged as a fault - nothing happens. There are many lit features of this road, signs, street lamps, bollards etc that just don't work and haven't in many many months - in some cases years. The whole place is filthy and never cleaned down. The road markings are poor in a number of places. The surrounding infrastructure - kerbing, central reservations, barriers and so on are crumbling... It's really worth remembering that this road is essentially doing the work of what the M23 was originally intended to do... So its enormously over-used and should have a budget and time allocation to reflect that. In reality, I doubt it receives much more attention than a cul-de-sac would. FIX IT!
