As we merged onto the A46 from Kenilworth towards Coventry, warnings were given about a lane closure. The lane is closed by traffic cones with flashing lights on. These cones then end, and the lane is blocked by concrete barrier, which isn't lit at all. This makes the barrier practically invisible in the dark. We assumed that this was the end of the lane closure, and nearly crashed into the barrier, but luckily saw it in time. There was then another unlit barrier after the next set of cones. The barriers need to be lit or reflective to avoid cars from crashing into them in the dark.
