Utility covers opposite Westwing Chideock Court present safety hazard to traffic especially light vehicles, motorcycles and cycles. HGV cause huge percussion reports, vibrations and noise. By day the largest of three covers has a depression of some 6 cm blow the mean road level. By day vehicles may get some visual warning, by night they must be considered to be at high risk of an incident, especially as the largest cover has a diagonal crack across its width. The noise nd vibration from these covers is constant and is causing damage to property which is listed and unknown damage to the residents thereof. The oercussion noise is very powerful and penetrates all parts of the surrounding buildings. Obviously there is a very high risk of a potentially fatal accident here and it should be corrected now .

The deepest and largest of these utility covers has been danger since the last A35 resurfacing effort but has become progressively worse over time. Some noise measurements and recording of the physical effects by the utility covers on light traffic, especially cyclists would explain everything.

Please can this issue bee sorted asap. It is causing huge distress to my partner and I. It shakes our house and causes the dog to bark. It even causes books to fall out of the shelves. It keeps us awake (we are both NHS workers) . This was reported in November and nothing has been done

Wessex water carried out emergency works before Christmas and since then there has been raised ironworks and sunken road surface around causing significant shaking and noise. The area of concern is almost opposite Ruins Lane in front of the drive between the Barton and Grailings. It shakes the house constantly.

The area of concern is a utility cover directly outside Chideock House B &B which is 25 m east of the Seatown turn on the north side of the A35.
