A63 speed limit
Reported via mobile in the Roadworks category anonymously at 07:30, Tue 17 November 2020
Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
There is a 40 mph average speed limit on the A63 to protect every one during works. How come the hgvs seem to be able to go faster in the out side lane with no central barrier

HI Unfortunately if a road user choses to travel beyond the recommended speed limit they are breaking the law. They should be reported to the police if a registration is taken. We are unfortunately unable to control the behaviours of the traveling public.

Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report. Unfortunately if a road user choses to travel beyond the recommended speed limit they are breaking the law. They should be reported to the police if a registration is taken. We are unfortunately unable to control the behaviours of the traveling public. However if a vehicle is speeding the cameras are in place during the works to enforce the speed limit.
