Mis-use of lanes on slip road causing safety issues on roundabout

On leaving the M27 Eastbound at Jcn 8 most cars get in the RH lane to go around to the 3rd exit - Burseldon. Many cars take the LH lane as fewer cars waiting to join the roundabout then go around the roundabout in the outside lane to this junction as opposed to the correct RH lane then merging across after the 2nd exit. This results in many (daily in my experience) incidents with cars taking the correct lane having to brake hard to avoid collisions with cars going right around the outside. Another issue with the LH lane is Eastbound cars will take the slip road go straight across and rejoin the M27 when the traffic is backed up from Whiteley Jcn 9. This obviously compounds the probem with the motorway traffic. Both problems easily solved by making the LH lane left only into Hedge End and the RH both straight over and right to Burseldon etc. The slightly longer lane queue would discourage many drivers from leaving and rejoining the motorway and stop others from proceeding around the roundabout in the outside lane (illegally) with attendant near misses and much horn blowing and shouting.
