Sunken grid

Reported via desktop in the Road surface category anonymously at 22:31, Thursday 21 January 2021

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

Sunken grid from main road. The grid cover appears to be mislodged upwards. A cone has been placed, this grid is causing drivers to move onto oncoming traffic. This can be seen in the direction to Willaston.

  • The issue was still there at 9am this morning. I called 101 to report it to the police as drivers have to swerve to avoid it. It’s a 60mph stretch of road so could be a nasty accident waiting to happen. Please can someone look at this urgently? There are only a few more hours of light to fix the issue. Thanks.
