Large pothole on southbound M5 lane 2 Location is alongside the First speed camera in the roadworks. Pothole is dangerous, I hit it after changing into Lane 2 from Lane 1, force was enough to knock my hand off the handle bar on my Motorcycle. This would be potentially lethal for aMotorcyclist.

    Thank you for your report of 22 January about the road surface on the M5 southbound between junctions 24 and 25. We appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention, and we’ve passed your concerns to our maintenance team for further investigation.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we have processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
