Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

Going towards London just before the layby, in Lane one in the drive line are a series of sinks. They unsettle the car at speed and you have to straddle the white line to avoid them.

    Our inspection team have been to the site and located the sunken parts of the carriageway, which will be repaired in due course.

    We will continue to monitor the condition of the road. If it worsens further and becomes a safety concern, we will ensure it is made safe as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we’ve put warning signs in place to alert drivers.
