Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
Particularly bad roadside litter by the laybys underneath the Sawley Junction on the A50. Both of the laybys under the junction (east and westbound lanes) have rubbish strewn all over the verge side. Could Highways England litter pick at this location.
Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report. During the review our inspector doesn’t feel that this is causing any safety concerns at this time and remedial work isn’t required. The removal of litter on a trunk road is the responsibility of the local authority in accordance with the environment Protection Act 1990. This report needs to be redirected to North West Leicestershire District Council. We will continue to review this and will arrange any required work if the situation changes.
