Missing road sign.

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue category anonymously at 16:19, Wednesday 17 February 2021

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

The chevron left corner warning arrows have been missing for over a year now, after seemingly being hit by a vehicle. This is really dangerous as the end of the slip road turns sharp left and there is no warning of the corner. The polls for the sign are still in the ground but bent flat.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England.

I would like to apologise for the length of time it has taken to provide you with an update.

I have spoken to our highways inspectors and as far as we are aware there have never been any chevrons located in this area.

There are a few signs that have been damaged recently, but there is some dispute in regards to if they are local authorities or ours. We wouldn't have put a chevron sign on the island as it would obscure peoples view as they come onto the entry slip.

Please feel free to create another report if the location that is specified is not correct.

    Kind Regards Highways England
