Excessive litter and rubbish

Reported via desktop in the Litter category anonymously at 10:04, Sunday 7 March 2021

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

There have been resurfacing works along A14 between junction 62 and junction 58 for several months now. the rubbish is exacerbated by the large number of HGV vehicles using the road but there is no doubt that the road works made this problem worse because of the debris left behind. It seems to be a good opportunity to sort this problem during lockdown whilst there are reduced levels of traffic on the roads and the road works are ongoing. I have written to East Suffolk Council and the Port of Felixstowe because it would seem sensible to work together to address this issue. Please can this be investigated. it is becoming increasing horrendous with the bottles of urine and junk food wrappers. I am not blaming the HGV drivers who I know have few facilities and a difficult time but it is the gateway to our town and I do not know any other way of resolving as volunteers cannot pick up littler beside a dual carriageway. the roundabout near Morrisons which In understand is not your responsibility, is particularly bad. I will try and report this appropriately but would be grateful if it could be noted by your team as well. Thank you
