Missing set of traffic lights
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 18:49, Sunday 14 March 2021
Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
Please could you replace the set of Traffic lights that have been missing from this roundabout for months – the lights were broken when a vehicle crashed into the pole, and have been removed, but have not been replaced for many months.
The lights/pole are on Spittleborough roundabout, Junction 16 of the M4; at the top of the westbound entrance slip road, right by the sign for South Wales & Bristol. The What3Words location is: super.classic.lengthen
The lack of this set of lights make it difficult for the drivers at the front of the affected queue to know when the lights have changed.
Thank you for contacting Highways England. concerning the traffic lights at junction 16 of the M4.
We shall look into this issue and aim to provide a response by 26/03/21.
Can we please ask that you check back on this date for an update.

Thank you for contacting Highways England about the missing traffic lights.
Before we can repair the traffic lights we've had to wait for Swindon Borough Council to fix the barriers first at this location. We understand that this work will take place tonight.
Once we've had confirmation that the barrier has been repaired we'll arrange for the missing traffic lights to be installed.
We hope this answers your enquiry. If you have any further queries, please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Kind regards Highways England
