Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
There are three large potholes in the London bound carriage way line one just after the entrance slipp on the a2 at upper harbledown. These send shockwaves through the houses.
Thank you for contacting Highways England about surface issues at this location.
We are aware of this and repair works are planned for this financial year. At the time of writing I am, unfortunately, unable to confirm precisely when these works will take place, however we anticipate these will be completed within the next 3 months. However, being aware of the carriageway deterioration and impact on road users, we’re carrying out urgent patch repairs between Whitfield Roundabout and Farthing Corner, where the A2 meets to M2. These works are due to take place this week & there will be a second phase of works for this location which is due to begin on 6 April 2021. Please note that the timing of our works is subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control.
In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the area under our weekly safety inspections of the A2, and will instruct any necessary temporary repairs.
Kind regards Highways England

The new road surface on the East bound carriage way just after the Upper Harbledown slip road already has a pot hole less than two weeks after " repairs" in virtually the same area as when the previous " temporary" repair was completed. Poor quality procurement and no service checks?
