  • Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding litter along the whole of the Wimborne Bypass near the A31.

Our Route Inspector has visited the site now and confirmed the responsibility for this issue, on this road, is that of Dorset Council and not Highways England. They added that an agreement has been made that we will assist with any litter picking on this occasion. We're currently performing vegetation clearance works in that area to help with the clearance and once this is completed, the litter will be removed.

    Thank you,

    Highways England

  • We travelled this section of road last weekend and can confirm the litter is absolutely overwhelming. It is an environmental disaster and is not a good advertisement for the area.
