Dumped road work equipment

Reported via mobile in the Flytipping category anonymously at 00:47, Sunday 11 April 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Once again, contractors have left all their equipment strewn along the verges of the A1 between Awalton and Wansford (mostly Northbound) Sign stanchions (signs have been collected, stands left... sheer laziness), sand bags and traffic cones cover the verges following recent road works. All equipment that costs money and can be reused left dumped. Please collect and fine your contractors.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England.

There are significant drainage survey works being carried out under lane 1 closures. All the equipment for slips & laybys are left out and walked off each shift. Once these works are completed our inspectors will have a thorough recce through there and action redundant TM there.

    Kind Regards Highways England

State changed to: No further action
