Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
So much litter has accumulated having been thrown from car windows into the verges along the A3 and particularly at the junctions with the Roads into/out of Liphook and Griggs Green. Locals have been trying to collect rubbish with litter pockets, but it is dangerous on the verges of the A3, and needs some proper action to clear it all.
Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding litter
The responsibility for this issue, on this road, is that of East Hampshire District Council.
Could we please ask that you contact them to resolve.

The A3 is managed by Highways England They should not be asking you to contact EHDC on their behalf. You correctly selected the 'Litter' category, and the A3 is managed by Highways England. If there is a litter issue they cannot resolve, they should be the ones passing the job to EHDC, not asking every single member of the public who reports an issue to redirect emails for them. That's utterly ridiculous, and will result in annoying a lot of people simply so they do not have to press 'forward' on their email client.
If they have an issue with the way this is reported, then Highways England should be contacting the Fix My Street Team (and/or EHDC), not you and asking you to redirect queries.
Additionally, if you choose to, I would not contact EHDC directly. Post a report in the 'Other' category. Direct reports I have found to be ignored.
