Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
No clearing of this area has been carried out for 2021 Rubbish is everywhere.
I’m sorry to hear of the continuing issues with litter build-up along the A2 in this area. Please be assured that litter collection crews have been carrying our collections on the M2 heading to the A2 during the past month and further collections are scheduled over the coming weeks.
On receipt of your enquiry I’ve contacted our Service Delivery Manager who has confirmed that the Gravesend area has been challenging recently due to works for the Lower Thames Crossing which has significantly reduced the areas our litter crews can access, though I’m pleased to let you know that he will be meeting with the Lower Thames Crossing team to discuss how we can work collaboratively to share their closures so that litter picking can be carried out safely. We appreciate that this is a location which requires particular attention to improve the overall appearance and clear as much litter as possible.
I hope you will notice a significant improvement to the appearance of this area in the weeks to come.
State changed to: In progress

We attended a wedding at gravesend gurdawara, yesterday - sunday the 22/08/2021 & the lack of signs, to dartford & else where - from the gurdawara - are where & it really is appalling in 2021?? the signs with reference to the works on the a2 were a complete & utter sheer nonsense & we were stuck for 6 hours, when the journey normally takes 30 minutes only to our residence in ilford, i9n essex. why this level of sheer incompetence in 2021 & where werte the police, as well - to give advice??
