Traffic Light Sequences

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
SInce there was a diversion from the A1 junction 68 (during roadworks) and the traffic was sent up over the roundabout (Lobley Hill Interchange - A692) the traffic light sequencing has been wrong. The A692 leading down to the Lobley Hill Interchange roundabout has always been busy but is now backed up much further between from around 730 - 930 and then again from 1500 - 1800. When the traffic lights change only 3 to 4 cars can get through during these times as they are on green for such a short period whilst they are on for a much longer period for cars coming round the roundabout and off the A1. This issue has only happened since the overnight A1 closures during roadworks so I presume something was changed then and has never been reset? There have been many complaints on Local Residents Groups and I know people have contacted the local council but the problem still exists. Is it possible to look into the traffic light sequencing that is causing the huge back up of traffic onto approach roads at these times as there are a couple of local schools and roads where it has become dangerously busy.
Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the traffic signals at Lobley Hill interchange.
