Worn white lines for dedicated lane

Reported via mobile in the Road markings category anonymously at 10:12, Saturday 24 April 2021

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

The white lines which delineate the dedicated lane heading towards Stansted from Coggeshall are virtually non-existent as they are so badly worn. Twice now we have experienced traffic coming off the roundabout from Coggeshall Road/A131 seemingly unaware of the dedicated A120 lane.

  • Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report.

Our inspector visited the location and agrees that remedial work is needed to ensure the safety of road users.

We have had mitigation signs placed up at all entry’s to the roundabout saying ‘ No road markings at Roundabout’.

As such, a repair is planned, and we aim to complete this between June and August.

Although we always aim to complete the repairs as planned, the date may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

    Kind regards Highways England
