Poor signage A5 East bound entry M42 Junction 10

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue category anonymously at 16:55, Sunday 25 April 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Was involved nearly 2 months ago with my car written off when car tried to overtake me on the island when in left lane driving past exit for M42 north, the car pushed us into crash barriers. Since this incident it looks like another incident or more have occurred and have also witnessed more and more cars in the middle lane trying to cut across the lane for A5 east for the M42 north. The junction is very poorly set out with both road markings and signage!! When you enter the island from Tamworth direction you have a large sign on your left giving you the layout of each junction on the island and then a tiny sign on your right giving you the lane information with the road markings being non existent. Someone will get killed, we were very lucky. This Must be looked at immediately as I wait for bad news that someone has been killed. Forget the signage, if you drive eastwards on to the M42 island being in the middle lane all you see is 2 lanes for M42 north so you take it that the left and middle lanes are for M42 north. The exit for M42 north needs to be changed to one lane which then opens to 2 lanes. I have taken screen shots of this message with the date 25th April 2021. I pray this is looked at as I am still suffering from post concussion nearly 2 months on and I was lucky.
