The traffic light timings are out causing a build up of stationary traffic on the roundabout causing several bwar misses. Traffuc trying to join A1 north lane was impossible and traffic from A19 weavibg around stationary cars

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

The traffic light timings on the Seatonburn roundabout are causing chaos in busy times. I waited three light changes from seatonburn to join the roundabout. Traffuc was sationary and building up on the roundabout. Traffuc from A19 crossing to A1 north and south bound lanes weaving around the traffic queue with several near misses

  • Thank you for your patience whilst we investigated the issue for you.

    Our traffic signal engineers have checked both the Seaton Burn and the Moor Farm signals and none of the controllers have flagged any faults or issues. They are working as intended. They run on MOVA, which detects live traffic flows and optimises timings as required.
