Your poor work on diversions

Once again your shambolic choice of diversions is causing havoc in Great Ryton. This is the second time I have reported your poor diversions and you have done nothing about it. Tractors, ambulances, and a host of other vehicles towing trailers causing queues and jams on a single track road, all because you have not diverted traffic properly when closing the A49. Pointless giving a diversion by the junction at Longnor when the actual diversion is 10 miles back down the road. You don't maintain the road through Great Ryton, yet you are happy to send people along it. You are a disgrace. I have a video and photo evidence of HGVs and other inappropriate vehicles travelling along the road because of your diversion when it is clearly marked "Not suitable for HGV". Good to know you only care about your roads and everyone else will have to suffer.
Thank you for your patience whilst we looked into your report. This issue is caused by people with local knowledge trying to use shortcuts to get around this work and not follow the official diversion. We have not promoted the use of any single track roads. All our diversions have to be agreed with the local authority before being published.
