There is a large patch of tarmac road surface that is deteriorating at a rapid rate. It it so bad now that when you come around the roundabout the car is jumping and skipping out to the left and is not following the line of the steering inputs any more. This is dangerous beyond belief as well as being damaging to the vehicles using the road.
This damaged surface predates the COVID pandemic but has recently gone from being uncomfortable to drive over to downright dangerous as you can no longer trust your vehicle to follow the inputs you are giving it. This needs repairing ASAP to prevent an accident happening.
Thank you for contacting Highways England about the road surface in this area.
We are aware of this and repair works are currently being programmed in. Unfortunately, because these issues aren't safety critical at the moment they will be actioned when resources become available.
We will continue monitor this location as part of our weekly safety inspections.
Kind regards Highways England
