Traffic lights not on during rush hour at bottom of slip road, A1(M), Jct 6

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
The part time traffic lights have not been turned back on despite the traffic returning back to near usual since Covid. Every day this causes queues on the slip road, sometimes trailing back onto the A1(M), this is an accident waiting to happen. The junction at the bottom of the slip road is also not the best for visibility due to the angle, if you factor in the fast moving traffic and the amount of near misses that occur, the lights working would make this so much safer.
Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the lights on the A1M.
We are aware of this and are currently investigating the cause of the issue.
Please bear with us while we are carrying out these investigations and know that we will do everything we can to get these lights fully operational.
Kind regards Highways England
