A36 surface flooding and pedestrian hazard
Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 12:31, Sun 16 May 2021
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2729089.
Surface water flooding due to inadequate/blocked drainage (and possible subsidence?) causing significant surface spray (to 6'+ height) over pavement and causing damage to nearby (listed) buildings at narrow and very busy section of A36 westbound
Traffic often taking to wrong side of road to avoid on blind bend causing hazard for oncoming vehicles. A lot of HGV use causing increased spray and additional pedestrian hazard
