Foliage and verge overgrown impacting on visibility
Reported via mobile in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) category anonymously at 13:39, Tuesday 25 May 2021
Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
Verge on north side A27 by crossing point nearest Shandon Rd heavily overgrown. Low tree branches and foliage. Makes viewing traffic to cross difficult. Pedestrians hidden from view of approaching traffic. Verge continuing towards Charmandean Lane very high and overgrown making it hard for cars to view traffic and join safely
Your team have been and trimmed grass from Beeches to First Avenue but for some inexplicable reason have left the long grass adjacent to the crossing point, north side A27, West of crossing immediately before. This breaks eyeline of waiting pedestrians to traffic and leaves crossing still unsafe. Cannot understand at all why they spent half a day on this and deliberately left the part causing the hazard?
