Urgent Grass Cutting Required

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

The exceptionally tall grass rapidly growing in the visibility splay is, now, seriously impeding the visibility of almost all highway users. As this constitutes a significant highway safety issue could you please arrange for this obscuring vegetation to be cut as a matter of urgency.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the grass on the A14.

    We carry out regular inspections of all our roads and cut back the vegetation where we find that it is limiting visibility of road signs, traffic signals or the view ahead. Your concerns have been passed to our maintenance team and I can confirm that grass cutting was completed this month on the A14.
