No sightline due to parked vehicles

Reported via desktop in the Road markings category anonymously at 15:53, Tuesday 29 June 2021

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

An increasing number of vehicles are mistaking the tarmacced entrance to our farm lane as an offical parking layby. When wagons, campervans and vans with no windows park up, we have absolutely no sightline to safely turn neither East or West on to the single carriageway A66. We have had 3 near misses this week and its only Tuesday!

We currently have 2 option, option 1 pull out onto a 60mph road risking our lives and other road users OR option 2, stop our vehicle, get out, walk alongside the busy road to speak to the driver to request they move their vehicle. We are often met with refusal or verbal abuse. The entrance desperately needs made smaller and less inviting in order to save lives.
