Traffic sign leaning against garden wall

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
I live along the A35 on the corner of Verriotts Lane in Morcombelake Bridport and I would like to bring to your attention an issue with a traffic sign that is leaning directly against the stone wall of my front garden. The traffic sign indicates a 40mph speed limit for vehicles joining the A35 from Verriotts Lane but is now leaning against my garden wall and facing the wrong way due to being consistently struck by vehicles accessing Verriotts Lane, which in turn is causing damage to my garden wall ultimately resulting in repairs being made to the wall at a cost to me. I would therefore like to request that the traffic sign be removed from its current location and away from my property and be placed on the grass verge on the opposite side of the road on Verriotts Lane eliminating any risk of the traffic sign being struck by vehicles and preventing further costs to me and further damage to my wall.

This would be an asset of Dorset Council. I would recommend getting in contact with their highways department.
