Road/tarmac markings have worn away

These road markings inform drivers which lane to use for the direction they wish to travel. These work well and maintain safety for users of the roundabout but they have faded, actually nearly vanished. I had a near incident today with an off duty police officer who was in the wrong lane. When I explained, he apologised and he admitted he couldn’t see the markings and we both remarked about how faded they were and how dangerous this was. He was going to report this as well.
Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the worn road/tarmac markings on a roundabout near the A404.
The responsibility for this issue, on this road, is that of Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Could we please ask that you contact them to resolve.
