Thank you for contacting Highways England about the potholes on the eastbound exit ramp from Membury services onto the M4.
We are aware of this and repairs have been logged. At present, I'm unable to provide a better timescale on this however I can assure you the area is continually monitored and we've also placed "uneven road" signs in the area to alert customers of this issue as well.
We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed.
Kind regards Highways England

This is still a very dangerous problem. It is unavoidable when getting up to safe motorway speed. Especially so on smaller cars. Ours regularly bottoms out on the suspension. Saying you are 'monitoring it' and have put up 'a sign' is bordering on negligence.

Damaged to my cars suspension thanks to this. After speaking with Welcome Break they tell me it’s the highways agency problem (but they were helpful).
Who can we contact for damages to be paid for?

Over a year later and still this hasn’t been fixed. I hit these at night a few days ago. Impossible to see until the last second, then it’s too late! More like craters that you’d see on the surface of the moon!
