  • Thank you for contacting Highways England about the The Somerset dragon logo on the 'Welcome to Somerset' sign being painted on.

We appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention. Any graffiti which is obscene or offensive will be prioritised and removed as quickly as possible. Removal of graffiti can require specialist contractors or traffic management to keep our workforce safe. This means that it is not cost-effective to remove every instance of graffiti on its own. Graffiti which doesn’t meet the criteria above will therefore be logged and removed during the next round of periodic cleaning taking place in the area.

    Kind regards Highways England
