Overgrowth of brambles on bridge over A47
Reported via mobile in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) category anonymously at 19:55, Friday 23 July 2021
Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
The pedestrian bridge over the A47 at Hodney Road PE6 7YJ has overgrown brambles making it particularly dangerous for children and animals. They could take a child's eye out.
This bridge is becoming a danger to children and elderly who try and walk over the bridge as it’s becoming in passable to pedestrians

Thank you for contacting Highways England concerning the footbridge over the A47.
We are currently investigating this issue with Peterborough City Council as the vegetation on this footbridge has previously been cut by us as a goodwill gesture to the Councillor. However this should sit with Peterborough.
Once we have a final decision we will update this issue on this report.
Kind regards Highways England

Thank you for your patience while we investigated the ownership of the vegetation at this location.
Highways England have agreed that they will cut this section as a one off until we are 100% happy that the land is our responsibility to maintain not Peterborough City Council.
A 28day order has been raised so target completion date is 25/8/21.
Kind Regards Highways England
