  • Thank you for contacting Highways England concerning the footbridge over the A47.

We are currently investigating this issue with Peterborough City Council as the vegetation on this footbridge has previously been cut by us as a goodwill gesture to the Councillor. However this should sit with Peterborough.

Once we have a final decision we will update this issue on this report.

    Kind regards Highways England

  • Thank you for your patience while we investigated the ownership of the vegetation at this location.

Highways England have agreed that they will cut this section as a one off until we are 100% happy that the land is our responsibility to maintain not Peterborough City Council.

A 28day order has been raised so target completion date is 25/8/21.

    Kind Regards Highways England
