The A2070 Barrel Road Junc Vegetation excessive
Reported via mobile in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) category anonymously at 21:19, Friday 23 July 2021
Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
The vegetation along the newly completed works of A2070 (Barrey Road Junc) requires urgent cutting back. The right hand filter lane cannot see any hazard from oncoming traffic and a fatal accident can occur if oncoming unseen traffic jumps the traffic lights as the filter lane cannot see past the 5ft high vegetation.
The whole of the A2070 section needs cutting back - the plans for the M20 J10a showed that landscaping would be completed by Summer 2020. I appreciate their may be a delay due to COVID but there is an expectation to manage the overgrown vegetation whilst awaiting the landscaping.
Thank you for contacting Highways England concerning overgrown vegetation on the A2070. We shall look into this issue and aim to do the necessary cuts within 28 days.
Can we please ask that you check back for an update?
