Temporary traffic signal timing issue

Since the temporary traffic lights on the A49 for the new junction into the Bloor Homes development have switched sides the signal timing has changed and it is causing massive queues north and southbound on the A49. Southbound it queues all the way back to the junction of Church Road at Lower Lyde even on a Sunday. Traffic is now taking a short cut on Church Road which is single track and it is so busy it is destroying the verges and making it very difficult to access our property on the lane. There have already been two accidents. In the first phase before the works switched sides the timing was ok and the queues not too bad. The signal timings need to be corrected and remedial works to repair Church Road by Bloor Homes undertaken.
Thank you for contacting Highways England about traffic signals. However just to confirm, the site is a third party housing development and Highways England and Hereford Council held a meeting with the developers and their partners on Friday last week having ourselves identified problems at this site.
They are now in the process of both monitoring and adapting their traffic management in the hope of achieving improved flows through the site.
Kind regards Highways England
